Precious One Year Old [Columbia, SC Family Photographer]

This family could not have been easier to work with!!!  The mother was so prepared, the father was along for the ride, and Little E was probably as close to perfect as one can be at 1~

We had such a great time in Downtime Columbia at the Horseshoe.  We had thought about several locations but Mom’s father went to Carolina and she thought the Horseshoe would be perfect for family memories.  I couldn’t agree more:)  The weather was not so great for our first session, so this was our reschedule and I’m so glad we did b/c every single photograph of E was adorable…which made if quite difficult for me to select the favorites of the day.

Thanks again B Family for allowing me to share in your special day with E.  You all were wonderful!  I hope you enjoy!

Quick as you can! [Columbia, SC Children's Photographer]

So, I say as quick as you can because I better post soon  before <poof>!   The sounds of Colbie Caillat are playing.  The lights are dim…and I realize I seriously need to post quickly and get back  to editing.  My heart melted with Miss E like drizzling butter.  More to come soon…

How Many Days Old? [Irmo, SC Newborn Photographer]

What a joy it was to photograph this precious angel and his family:)  I think I could have stayed  for hours and hours…if only this little boy would have had me.  Each time I looked at Mr. W and his mom and dad, I saw both parents in him and I couldn’t really figure out who he resembled most.  But, at this stage in life,  it’s so ever changing, isn’t it?

I’d have to say that this stage is certainly my most favorite phase of children’s photography.  I can hardly even remember what my daughter looked like as a newborn and that’s why it’s so very important to have those images for years and years to be able to show your children and future generations.

Here are a few that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside…

Enjoy!

where did summer go?

I have been sick for several days now…AND my daughter has too…ugh!  Which has left me somewhat behind  updating my blog.  I had such good intentions this week to get caught up on here, but a little bug got in my way.  In the meantime, I thought I’d leave you with an image of the beach.  It seems like yesterday that summer was just beginning and we were just putting our toes deep within the sand.  Now we’re back to reality.

Four Generations of Women [Columbia, SC Lifestyle Family Photographer]

I recently had the pleasure to capture the images for a family that will definitely be cherished for a lifetime.  When the mother of the charming little girls below first contacted me, she mentioned that she was visiting family and wanted to capture Four Generations of Women while she was visiting her family.  Time presented a rush since she and her girls would soon be flying back to Paris, France…where they’ve lived the past couple years…and love it she says!  I, too, remember how important it was for me to have a photograph taken with my daughter, me, my mother and grandmother together…so when I listened to the message I just knew I had to make arrangements in my schedule to accomodate.  The weather for our time together (and for the entire day for that matter) was less than cooperative, but we still we able to capture some beautiful images that I hope this mom will love forever and ever.

My Attempt at Photography

:Sigh:  I can definitely sympathize with you parents out there trying to take amazing photographs of your children.  This summer I attempted to do so; and while I did get  a handful of good images…it ended up being more stressful than rewarding.  Hence why I typically hire out this kind of thing, lol:)  Actually, one of my photography friends emailed me a couple months ago asking about our beach portraits and at the time I didn’t have our summer vacation planned.  Now I wish I had of hired her this summer because I really could have used a great album called “Summer 2009″ to add to the coffee table.

Morning Fun [Columbia, SC Family Photographer]

When we met up for photos I was greeted by the beautiful blonde trio of Mom, Son and Daughter.  From the minute that I met this crew I knew we were going to get some amazing photographs.  Mom was a dream and helped me get to know her children by playing with bugs and insects and the morning turned out to be perfect.

Brother and Sister [Columbia, SC Children’s Photographer

These two are so beautiful and I loved every minute of spending time with them.  From all the wardrobe changes, to the bugs bitting our legs…they were troopers the entire time.

Miss B looks just like her Dad and Mr B looks just like his Mom…but, ever so often you can catch a glimpse of their other parent in their facial expressions.  Here are some below.

Three Beautiful Families [Chapin, SC Children's Photographer]

This summer has been a whirlwind and I’m so behind on my blogging.  I just had to put these sweet photographs up today because the families have already viewed their slideshows & I completely forgot about my blog.  Shame shame on me!

The day I photographed this family started out early on the water and the sun was already beating down on us at 8:30 in the morning.  But, the kiddos were all excited and ready to have fun.  And, that’s just what we did.  Had fun.

The first family was these two precious girls who have the cutest looks ever.  I adore some of the expressions we were able to get on their faces.  The oldest sister is one of the most mature little three year olds that I’ve met – to date…and I have a three year old, so I know what I’m talking about.  Ha, ha!

Next on the agenda was Miss L with her little blonde hair and soft baby blues.  So cute and so spunky!

Can’t you just pinch those little cheeks?

Then, Mr. Handsome T.  All boy.  And all fun!  His expressions when he saw the cat in the yard were adorable!
