Kid’s Stuff

I remember my first blog all about ‘mommy & kids stuff’.  I truly don’t know why I ever stopped writing about my mommy loves. Below was what it might have been like.  Only in short form:)  I’ve really been missing out -    talking about the latest clothing or skincare / product find for kids…so, I think I’ll start writing about that again, while posting my photography.

(1) This one is my all time FAV.  Still using it at 5 years old because I refuse to abuse her skin:)

(2) Sunscreens – Check out the two below.  I have to thank my cousin, Lins for the Alba recommendation.  Cheaper, than the one  below that I’ve been using since my daughter’s birth.  California Baby… has never irritated my daughter’s eyes, so I’m sold on this one:)

Pure Angel and Back to Blogging

So I took over a month off and had surgery and the whole summer seems like it’s come and gone.  Now I’m trying to pick up the pieces and get back to where I was before all of that and, HOLY GUACAMOLE…my blog has been sitting here all by it’s lonesome for far too long.  I have to say that getting back on and writing is quite fun, but much more time consuming than just posting updated pics and news on Facebook.  Yet, it’s a necessity.  My beginnings were here and (I digress) truly need to spend more time nurturing and giving a little bit of love to this blogdiddy of mine:)

Now that things are back in full swing I’m booked through September (for the most part).  I came back from surgery and had my first shooting of a precious little one year old that had such a charming personality and smiled for the better part of an hour and a half.  Here’s what I mean…

My thoughts

Today, this week, this month…has been such a whirlwind.  Between work, home, school and all the end of school programs, recitals, etc…ugh.  I promise to post pictures soon…just bare with me, lol.

Mother’s Day Photography 2011

Sometimes the last person in the family that gets photographed is the Mother.  And, yes sometimes she is in the photograph, but less time is spent around the interaction between her and her child / children.  Mother’s Day Gifts specifically target the mother who delights in her children and wishes to capture time spent with them to cherish forever.  Many of my favorite images are those that express the bond between mother and child…as it’s like nothing else in the world!  If you’re interested, I’m doing a Special where you can purchase a gift certificate exclusive to Mother and up to 4 children that includes 1 – 2 hours of custom photography, editing and slideshow viewing.  Plus, you’ll receive a family 8 x 10 and DVD of high-resolution images for only $300.  Gift certificates available for purchase thru Mother’s Day and valid until 12/31/11.

Here’s a sample of our pretty gift certificates:)

Recent HS Senior

When the mother of this HS Senior asked me to photograph her daughter I was honored; especially since she teaches at my daughter’s school.  We talked over the phone and gathered ideas for our session and I found that mom’s main objective was for me to capture images of her daughter that expressed her unique gifts and talents (which are quite a few I must say).  She’s the Valedictorian.  Rides a horse named Romeo.  Plays the guitar.  Is beautiful.   And, so on it goes…

I feel these images truly expressed how incredibly talented this young lady is.  Look out world.  Cause here she comes!

Sweet Baby P

What a sweet baby Miss P was.  And, oh how she loved to be held…which, I could have done with her all day long.  One of my favorites from our session is this one.  Mom & Dad were in the kitchen and I eyed a little blankie in the crib of black and white damask and I knew that was perfect with her fuchsia hat.

First April Session

Today was my first session for April 2011 and what a gorgeous day it turned out to be.  I have to admit, with all the rain this week, that I was on the Weather Channel every day looking at what this weekend would behold.  And, oh what a beauty the weather was, AND, these children.  I could have loved on them all day long.  We played, fed the ducks, hiked the trail, gave kisses, feel down and had plenty of fun & laughs during it all.

Here’s little sneak peak of the kiddos:)

Family of Four

Instantly, I felt connected to this family after meeting the parents during a small group at church.  I listened to their interaction and they seemed so warm and Real.  They didn’t just seem to have it all together, but they seemed to understand and appreciate each other for who they were and love each other for who they were.  I later discovered what seemed-to-be was authentic.

Here are some of the love we captured from today between mother and child, daddy and child, and everyone together being just the way they are.  Isn’t that what it’s all about?

Thanks for stopping by!
