Little One Year Old [Greenwood, SC Children's Photographer]

Little E is about to turn 1 coming soon and he’s quite the little crawler able to quickly grab at just about anything laying in front of him.  That helped us be able to capture tons of full movement shots of him as we just let him crawl and play towards his toys & his sweet Mommy.  I just love how this little one’s eye’s sparkle and I had to pinch and remind myself to get more that just photos of his eyes, lol:)  So, his Mommy helped me from behind with her sweet songs along with mine to the baby guitar sounds of “Quack, Quack”.  Guess you had to be there…Here are some that I wanted to share.

Oh, and the last photograph was one that I had to include because there was a lowercase ‘e’ drawn in the sun I saw while photographing…

5 Minus 2 Makes 3 [Irmo, SC Children's Photographer]

So I had the pleasure of spending time with  3 out of the 5 kids:)  The 2 remaining are teens and have quite the busy life…so, I’ll have to fit my schedule into their busy schedule, lol…

Anyway, the mom of this awesome family is a very special friend of mine.  She wanted me to update her children’s portraits for her home to reflect her modern contemporary style with black and white headshots of each of her kiddos.  2 more left to go.  Here’s a small sampling of what we got from 3 out of 5.

Mr. Smile [Columbia, SC Children's Photographer]

Can you believe this little munchkin gets around at only a year old?  Well, neither could I.  Mom said he started walking at 11 months and he’s been running ever since:)  The session began with lots of smiles from Baby C and his mother informed me of his constant perma-smile…I could only think he was a photographers dream.

The Scent of Pure Joy [Columbia, SC Children's Photographer]

As I’m writing this post, I’m delighted by the scent of Charleston…a precious gift by the mother from today’s session.  “Charleston” – a floral scent and Archipelago candle.  So, I’ve now dimmed the lights in my digital darkroom.  The candle is lit and I’m breathing in the aroma while reminescing the smell from the flowers of earlier today.  Ahhhh.  (Sigh).

This mother is going to be waiting on pins and needles to get these images back.  Why?  Well, wouldn’t you if these were your two little princesses?  Both gorgeous.  Both curious.  Both a parent’s dream.  Yet uniquely different.  And, we captured this in so many of our images.

It was ‘Pure Joy’ to be part of the memories created today on May 2nd.
